Dressage

Dressage consists in this constant research of aestheticism and elegance that cannot exist without a nearly perfect harmony between rider and horse. All of this is achieved through a teamwork effort where the trainer plays an essential role. He is the conductor that leads the couple in that research.

Dressage is articulated in six fundamental axes, which are at the heart of my considerations as a trainer in the daily training of the horses:

  • Attention and trust
  • Locomotion and gaits
  • Suppleness and relaxation
  • Propulsion and balance
  • Rectitude
  • Collection

Because riding is first and foremost a team sport, my work is also orientated towards the rider : improve his understanding of the horse and its functioning, prepare him physically and mentally to competitions, work on position, coordination and aids dosage to form and consolidate the horse - rider couple. Develop a mutual trust in the couple is thus fundamental. If the discipline demands certain requirements, the art resides in bringing the horse to take pleasure in working, in giving and sharing with its rider in good conditions. Only in a privileged relationship will the horse give the best of itself to its rider.

Active Stable

Sensitive to the horses' wellbeing, I have taken advantage of the imposed break of the pandemic to develop a new accomodation offer for the horses that are entrusted in my care, the active stable. The active stable concept is articulated in several axes which provide a better adequation to a horse's fundamental needs: roam freely, interact with congeners, eat in small quantities throughout the day, breathe optimally.

This new accomodation type presents numerous advantages on four principal subjects :

  • Moral : the active stables reaches towards the horse's natural way of life, a gregarious animal
  • Behavioural : serenity and fulfillment of the horses leading to less behavioural issues that can be identified in a stall accomodation
  • Physiological : improvement of breathing and digestion, muscular and joint comfort
  • Sport : improvement of the horse's physical state, increased availability during work, optimized warm-up and recovery

My proposition is that horse wellbeing and sports performance can be associated for the fulfillment and growth of the horse - rider couple.
